PSU Problems, should I exchange or adapt

Well to top off a wonderful day that included deleting all my email in
the course of a reformat (oops) I discovered that I ordered the wrong
PSU for the computer I am building for my parents.

Mobo is an ASUS P5GD2, PSU is an Enermax Noisetaker 470W EG475AX-VE(W)
SFMA.

The question is whether I should return it and eat the 15% restocking
fee or just adapt it. I've seen opinions that go both ways...I'm
wondering if anyone has any insight as far as this *specific* PSU/Mobo
combination. ASUS doesn't seem to provide much in the way of
specifics about what is required (specific power requirements, EPS12V,
etc.) so I can't tell whether this will be fine or not. I think that
this should provide plenty of power for their machine, and I am
suspicious of the fact that all of (the reasonably proced) Enermax
PSU's come with adapter cables rather than just having 24 pin
connectors.

I want to do what's right...if I really should return it I'll return
it, if it really doesn't matter I'd obviously like to save the 15%.
This computer will be around for a loooong time...so I want to be sure
everything is cool with it.

Huge TIA!!

Can't see any reason that PSU wouldn't work with that mobo. I would have
thought you would have plenty of power.

Anyone disagree?

Thx

You can buy 20 pin female to 24 pin male adapters. I have read mostly
that it's fine and the specifications are the same, but a few
naysayers made me want to see what people here had to say.

what do you mean 'adapt' it?
