Windows Mail cannot import a .pst file unless Outlook is installed on the
Vista computer.

You can install Outlook, copy the .pst to the Vista computer, open the .pst
with Outlook, then you can import into Windows Mail.

Or,
If you have Outlook installed on an XP computer, import the .pst data into
Outlook Express, copy the .dbx files and .wab file to the Vista computer,
and import into Windows Mail.

i imported an outlook 2003 pst into my trial version of outlook 2007 (worked
fine), then I loaded windows mail and imported all mails from outlook 2007-
the import took hours and I endedd up with a complete mess! My folder
structure has not been maintained- instead i just have about 80 folders
called Imported Folder (n) where 'n' is an incrementing integer. How can i
import the mails with the folder structure?
thanks

NEVER import a .PST into Outlook, it causes corruption to both the .PST file
and the Outlook Profile in use. OPEN this Outlook 2003 .PST file with
Outlook 2007 using 'File|Open|Outlook Data File', and try repeating the
process.
