I just archived my personal folders, and my archive file is now inaccessible. I believe it is too large, as this problem seems familiar. Is there any way I can open this archive folder?

How big is it? I have had archive.pst files around 100 MB and they worked ok
with Outlook 2000/2002

PST files can be up to 1.82 GB in size (2 GB is often referred as the
size limit). How big is yours? (Okay, no anatomy jokes, please.)

My archive.pst is 1.17Gb. It is either too large or something is corrupted within. As I have all of my work related e-mails in that file, I am looking for a way to retrieve it. Any suggestions are welcome.

Try running scanpst.exe against it and see if it comes up with anything.
