I am trying to import an Outlook addressbook pst file. At first I tried
in Outlook Express, with no luck. I changed the program association for
the file to a .wab file but it still didn't work. Next I imported all my
info from Express into Outlook 2000, then tried to import the address book,
but now the file properties are incorrect. I have no idea what program I
should have the pst files associated with at this point. Right now, I'd
just like to fix the program association to what it should be, and go from
there.

Import it into where? Outlook? Just use the File | Import and Export wizard.

Why? Just open it with FIle>Open>Personal Folders File

Naturally not, since 1) it's not an address book and 2) only Outlook (not
Outlook Express or the Windows Address Book application) can open it.

For mail, it's better to export your messages from Outlook Express to
Outlook. File>Export>Messages. This preserves the dates.

What errors do you get?

There's no need to associate PSTs with any program.
