.pst file problems

I am trying to move a .pst file of email messages between
two computers both running Outlook (2002 / XP). I can
create the file just fine via 'export'. However, when I
try to import it at the other PC, I get an error message
that the file is 'not compaitible with the verison of
information services' (so says the 'helper'); I also get
an error about 'services need to be configured prior to
use' or something similar. I've checked all the obvious
stuff like file permissions, etc. and have copied the
file off the CD-Rom onto the desktop. Is there some
setting I need to change to allow importation of .pst
files? I have done this successfully in the past, but
this has me stumped.

Thanks!

You need to remove the"Read-Only" attribute of the file. Right-click on it
and select Properties.

No, I checked the 'read only' attribute; it wasn't set.
This was the first thing the MS documentation suggested
as well, but it wasn't the cause...
