Dear All,

I am in great need of help here. I am using outlook 2000
with windows 98. One day the outlook just stoped
functioning suddently. I tried to open it again. Some
error signal as "C:\WINDOWS\...\outlook.pst could not be
acessed. Access is denied." I opened the folder and the
file was there, but I could not copy it to anywhere.
Therefore, I think that it was crushed. Any one has an
idea on how to fix it? If I am willing to pay a little bit
money to fix it, what is the best chance that I can have.

Thanks very much for the help,

Charlie

Copy your PST file to a backup location for safekeeping. Do a search on your
hard drive for scanpst.exe - run it, point it at your real PST file, and see
what it comes up with.

The problem is that I can not copy the file anywhere, even
in its original directory. Later on when I tried to
restart my computer, Windows 98 could not start with an
error message as somefile was not functioning. It looked
like that my computer was infected by some virus, although
I don't recall doing anything that could cause it.

I've connected the harddrive to another PC and retrieve
useful information from there. However, the
file "outlook.pst" still could not be copied. Any
suggestions?

Charlie
