Is there a way to convert an Outlook 2003 PST file so it
can be opened in Outlook 2000?

You'd have to create a new Outlook Data File in the old format, then copy
the contents of the Outlook 2003 file into it.

Thanks, but how do I copy the contents instead of the
file, please?

.

For any Folder you want to copy:
Edit > Select All > Copy to Folder...

I dont have Outlook 2003 and I wonder if you cant EXPORT
the 2003 .pst file to a .csv file format using the export
function in 2003 and then import the .csv file down using
Outlook 2000 back into the .pst format again.

I sure wouldn't try it. Just exporting to a PST loses or corrupts enough
data as it is. The opportunity to lose or corrupt data trying to export an
entire PST to CSV and back is great indeed.
