PSP9 has taken over my default Picture Viewings??

Why has PSP 9 taken over all my pictures?
I am trying to open a E Mailed pictures sent to me and it keeps trying to
open in PSP9! which then comes up with a error message.
How can I revert back to Window Default ??

More info:

Try this...open an image folder and right click one
of your image files...from the menu, select...Open
With / Choose Program.

Make your choice from the list or Browse to the
correct program if it is not in the list.

If you want the default...choose..."Windows
Picture and Fax viewer"

Once you make your selection...be sure to check
the box that says: "Always use the selected program
to open this kind of file". (you will need to do this
for each format....jpg, .tif, .gif...etc.)

Also...you can right click an image and choose
Properties / Change Button...choose the program
you wish to use and click...OK / Apply / OK.

Also...in WinXP, you can go to...My Computer /
Tools / Folder Options / File Types tab...

Cathy, I've used PSP for a few years now, and it doesn't hijack your
imsges by any stretch.

Whenever you install a photo editing or browsing application it asks
which file formats you want to associate with that program. PSP does
the same. You are presented with a list of file formats with
checkboxes next to them.

When you installed PSP you must have assigned some image file formats
to it.

That has sorted it out for me, just opened and ticked the box, this has been
bugging me for weeks and thought I Have Got To Sort This out.

Thanks Jim, DId reload PSP and unticked everything! but it still came up as
the default, have now sorted it.
