It's only certain versions of the PSP that can be modded/reflashed mate.
I think i'm right in saying v1.4 - v1.5 anything above that cant be modded or at least couldnt last time I looked into it a year or so ago.
The version that was released here in the UK was mainly the 1.6 model
so not sure if that has changed now
