Psd99 Wants A PCI TV Card

Yes that particular card does give digital tv channels, basically freeview...

You is still gonna need an aerial anyway as the portable aerials you get are crap at recieving a signal....

As crazylegs says, you will need an aerial of some sort.

You may get away with an indoor aerial, depends how strong your digital TV signal is.

And Hauppage are good.

Aerial would be the best idea

thing is

I got a five way booster that runs around my house
but those sockets are all on the bottom floor

im thinking of getting this tv card for my room ie second floor
i know where the wire for the aierel runs
if i was to split this and put one socket going towards me pc
will this stop the 5 way booster from working?

Ideally, it would be best to take your aerial feed from the five way splitter.

If that's impractical, use a two way splitter at the point you splice into the main feed cable.

I'm assuming you're ok to fit co-ax plugs.

i got a basic undrstanding

so best would be to take it from the five way splitter

so it def wont block the signal going to the five sockets downstairs?

forgive me my knowledge is v weak

bascially i know where the cable runs
i just want to cut the cable and run a two way splitter from it!

or

the alternative is getting ontop of the roof putting wire on aieral
bringing it through the roof
loft

and then into my room
sounds long dont it

I never knew you ran Windows XP Media Center ...

but I know for sure I am running Windows Xp Pro

does that mean that card will NOT work on my system?

any chance of reccomending another one then.... please?

You got all that then?

If not, it's money wasted.

Your first choice was best.
