hi
im looking to replace one of my harrdrives its a 320 western digital
the choice is either to get a new IDE drive and DIRECTLY replace the harrdrive
OR
get an external harrdrive and make a copy of the exsisting drive
so in short im looking to backup all my data.
I just came across this one:
its at the top
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Samsung_IDE.html
its 400gb for £105
and its my FAV company SAMSUNG! they do the quiet stuff!!
so what do u all think?
should i get a new internal harddrive and make my 320gb the backup
or
get an external one and make that my backup?
obviously each method has advantages/disadvantages over each!
ie if i went for an external ill need 400gb at least it could cost more than an ide 400gb
also with option one i feel that directly replacing the 320gb with 400 would give me more capacity in the long run, as right now i have approx 40gb left.
id like to know your thoughts thanks
