Hi, this is my situation:
Im having a tough time rolling out proxy settings with a GPO. Were all
win2k and the current connection settings were manually set to no proxy
server (we were previously using a hardware router for internet access) - so
we created this proxy setting GPO in Internet Explorer Maintenance - Proxy
Settings -
The problem is, it only works on about 1/5 of all the computers it was
applied to. Running gpresult says the policy was applied even though the
proxy settings did not really apply.
We then created an OU right below the domain, applied only this 1 proxy
policy, put my test box and account in that OU, and the settings still wont
apply, (even though the GPO object itself says it was applied). I gotta be
missing something - could it be the NT groups that the account is in some
how? I have also tried setting no override with no effect. Thanks!
