have a win2000 pdc with terminal server configured as Administration.
When i try to connect on the client appears the following Error:
"Because of protocol error detected at the client (code 0x1104) this
session will be disconnected"
Can anyone help me.
Thanks
I've just started to get this too and my two local Windows terminals
refuse to connect - so do remote PC sessiosn - I am now using VNC to do
remote debugging!
I spent all day on site looking at this - the first thing I noticed was
that the network card seemed to have developed a fault as the link
status light on the local switch was blinking off every few seconds and
the server was reporting 'network cable disconnected', then
'connected..' every few seconds in the system tray.
I replaced the LAN card and eventually re-setup all LAN config. The LAN
works OK and I can PING the server and also connect to shares on it from
my laptop.
I then noticed that Terminal Services was not listed as a system
services. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling TS with no luck - it
would not show up.
In the end I copied some relevant-looking registry entries from a
working server and reinstalled the TS licences - everything 'looks' Ok
now but I still have the error.
I wonder If I'm facing a complete Win2K SBS reinstall!??
Any ideas - anyone!?
