Hello,

Is it possible to restrict the use of a CD with ppt files and the PPT
2003 Viewer to one PC?

Cheers

Yes, no and sorta... If you use the IRM (Information Rights Manager) the
answer isyes, but you have to have a server or pay to use someone else's. I
believe Microsoft still provides this as a service as well as several other
vendors. Do a searh in your PowerPoint Help for IRM and you should get a
full explanation.

Austin,

A quick look at the Microsoft page for the 2003 PPT Viewer says

The following Microsoft PowerPoint features are not supported by this
viewer:
Information Rights Management (IRM) presentations.

So - guess this means I cannot restrict a CD which uses the PPT Viewer
with ppt files to one PC?
