Protecting Shared Database

I am surprised and disappointed to find out that I cannot protect my shared
database. The Reporting function allows any user to run and export a report
of the full database. I would have thought that I should be able to restrict
certain users.

That's right. With BCM all shared users can see all the data.

If you need roles and permissions, you should look into Microsoft CRM,
and similar products.
