Protecting Individual Cells

Does anyone know if there's any way of protecting individual cells? I can only find options to protect an entire worksheet or workbook, but not particular cells within a worksheet (e.g., the worksheet needs to be unprotected, but there is a formula within a cell or group of cells that should be protected so that it doesn't get accidentally deleted or altered when someone clicks into the cell)

I'd appreciate any help!

The default for cell protection is locked. So, if you protect the
worksheet,all cells are protected. So, right click on the cell to
unprotect>format>protection>uncheck locked. Then protect worksheet.
OR, unlock ALL by placing cursor on the cells block (left of A and above 1)
unlock>lock only those desired>protect sheet.

Hi Morningsigh
You can unlock all the cells (Format>Cells>Protection) and then just lock the cells with formulas. Then when you protect the sheet, only the cells you lock will be protected
