Protecting a Form limits the features for my whole document - HELP

Hi,

I have created a form in word, sectioned it off from the rest of the
document and applied the "editing restrictions" which I have selected for
that particular section.

However now the rest of the document has limited features i.e. no
autoshpaes, grouping, ungrouping.

Does anyone have any ideas?

What you are seeing is by design in Word. There are many things you cannot
do in a protected document, even in sections left unprotected.

If you need to allow free editing in a document, then a protected form is
usually not the right tool for the job. Create a Userform to gather and
insert your variable data instead - For the basics, see Word MVP FAQ -
