Protect Fonts

How can I protect a *.dot, so that the users cannot change its fonts?

I would like to protect the position of text boxes also.

You can make the template itself read-only (password to modify), but that
will not prevent users from changing fonts in documents based on the
template. Word 2003 offers advanced protection options that do allow this
sort of control.
