protect files placed in calendar from reviewers

We have given review permissions on Calendar to other members of staff.
However, they are also able to read any files/emails that are inserted into
the calendar item. Is there a way we can stop others opening these
attachments?
 
Instead of inserting attachments, you could store the file on a network volume, control its access rights there, and put in a text link to the file in the appointment instead of attaching it.

No, reviewer gives them permissions to do this. If you don't want them to
view attachments, don't insert them, just reference them in the item and
keep them on your hard drive.
