Protect Document

I need help to protert my ppt document from others to open and write to it. I
believ thre is way to make password protected and if person is trying to open
it and have no password it will open in read-only format.

Be aware that if you add a modify password in PPT 2007, PPT 2003 doesn't
recognize there's a password, so the file is unprotected if you open it in
PPT 2003.

Modify Passwords can be added to XP/2003 and 2007

Note people with earlier versions won't be able to open them at all and also
the password is not super secure.

In pre 2007 you can use Tools > Optioons > Security to add the password in
2007 when you Save As look for the Tools drop down menu > General Options
