Protect application

Hi there, I am new with C# and I am starting to develop a simple
document management application.
The application will have 3 version: trial, light and full.

The people will download the trial versione from the interner (30
days) and then they will decide if buy the light or version. The
activation will be enabled with a registration key. Common case.

I would like to know where I can find some articles/resources that
explai how to do this.
