Hello group.......................

I wish to protect my computer from being accessed from safe mode, is
this possible?

I'm running Windows XP Pro 2nd edition.

Thanks for any assistance.

(There's a '2nd edition'?!)

As long as all your accounts have passwords - including the adminstrator
account - you still have to use a password to boot into safe mode.

You will also want to set a BIOS password and setup the BIOS so it boots
from the hard disk drive FIRST.

Otherwise anyone with 1/2 a clue and a certain bootable CD can hack into
your computer.

It is a Good Idea to set Both Administrator Password, BIOS password and
Screensafer password too, if any thing happen nobody can get access to
your computer or the Data on your computer.
It could be done but it is long process and need smarter brain than a
thief looking to sell the stolen computer/Laptop!!.

How is it a long process to clear the CMOS and then boot off a floppy with
an NT password cracker?
