Protect a child…

Using Windows XP.

I have a question about the relationship between a parent and child
folder: I’ve searched the help contents but have been unsuccessful.

Let’s say Person A creates a folder (FolderA) and is now the folder’s
owner and has full control.

Let’s then say Person B creates a subfolder (subFolderB) and is now
the subfolder’s owner. Person B then changes the inherited
permissions from FolderA and denies full control to subFolderB to
anyone but herself (I think this can be done).

Can Person A delete FolderA and take the subfolder with it?

Reason that I ask…There’s an administrator in my building that creates
folders and subfolders for employee use. This person will move or
delete an individual folder without permission or advance warning,
leaving my poor subfolder vulnerable.

I can create folders inside the folder(s) he creates, and I want to
protect them from deletion. I understand the administrator should ask
first, but you know how people are.

No, he will get an access denied message if he tries. This is easy
enough to test with a set of dummmy test folders.
