proportional resizing

In 2003, I am trying to add a letter in front of a clip art picture. I can group the clip art and the text box, but then when I resize the new group, the text box doesn't resize proportionally, so that the letter is no longer in the right place or the right size. This is driving me nuts! I'm sure it's some simple check box somewhere, but I can't find it.

Try creating the text in WordArt. Then it will resize when you stretch or
shrink a group that contains it.

Group ClipArt and text, cut (Ctrl+X), and re-insert using "Edit | Paste
Special" as "Image (Windows Meta-File)". This will create a picture with the
same file format as ClipArts. Text will be enlarged like any other part of
the ClipArt. But: if you don't want the text any longer, you can ungroup it
and pick the text to delete it (or to edit it).

Kind regards,
Ute

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for
without resorting to VBA or add-ins.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide options for resizing text when shapes/groups are resized
(without having to resort to VBA or add-ins), don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
