Hi All,

We have registered our application as a custom protocol, so that we
can execute our application from a URL.

e.g. "MyApp://somestuffhere"

Everything works as expected with the custom protocol, like shortcuts
or link in a web page or typing it into the address bar of a browser.
Problem is, we'd like it to work in an Office doc like a traditional
URL. This means, when you type it, Office understands it's a
hyperlink and presents it as such (blue and underlined).

Anyone know how to make Office do this?

Before typing the url click on Insert -> Hyperlink and then type the url in
the Address bar and click ok. That should do the trick.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, that is not exactly what I
was looking for. What I am looking for is a way to change some type
of setting so that outlook *knows* innately that my custom protocol
should be displayed as a hyperlink. For example, if you type
www.google.com, Outlook knows it's a hyperlink.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Erik B.
