Hi, Using Excel 2003, whenever I use Windows explorer to select a file,
right click and use the print function, Excel asks me if I want to Save the
file before closing Excel.

It does not do it with all files, only with the ones I create, tried looking
in the Options, but cannot find anything for this function.

Any ideas as to what I've missed or can do to stop this prompting?

TIA, Colin.

Any chance you have any of those volatile functions (=now(), =rand(), =today(),
....) in those workbooks?

When excel recalc's and gets a different value, it'll ask if you want to save.

How about macros? Do you have any macros that run when the workbook opens (or
before printing)? Maybe it's doing something that makes excel think your
workbook is changed.

Wrong again, someone went into the files and used the =Now() function,
making me loose my fixed date field.
I changed them all to dates and now alls O.K.
Sorry, guys, thought I had a major problem, just a silly hitch.
Colin.
