I have just purchased this SATA150 tx2plus PCI board and am having alot of
problems getting it to work.

it is connected to a seasgate barracuda 120gb Sata drive and onto a Asus
P4pe motherboard.
It is also done on a fresh install of windows XP pro SP1

Description of problems

whilst somtimes in windows or mainly when connected to the internet a
warning comes up saying NT/AUTHORITY \ SYSTEM and written underneath it says
RPC (remote procedure call) has terminated unexpectedly. it then gives you
60 seconds before rebooting machine. thier is no way of cancelling this
error it just reboots machine.

I have changed TX2 plus drivers and flashed the bios to latest. still no
luck.

I am now out of ideas and very diappointed.

You have the MS Blast worm, nothing to do with your hardware......

You have started a new thread and failed to quote anything. Nobody
knows what you are talking about.

In reply to this thread!!!! You have the MSBlast worm, not a hardware fault,
go to the symantec site and get the removal tool.....

Funny how people just assume it's a piece of hardware causing a problem, and then just take some wacky guess as to which piece of
hardware it is, with no basis at all to justify their conclusions.

He IS correct. Those are the exact symptoms of the MS Blast. As of Thursday
morning it was infecting over 2400 systems an hour.
