Hello,
Here is the setup:

Computer w/ Power Point w/ 802.11b card -> Linksys 802.11b Presentation
Gateway -> Projector. So the presentation isn't going through the PC's video
card.

I've seen done, but I don't know how, where the people looking at the
projected screen see just the show but the on the computer is a list of all
the slides, notes, etc.

Pressing "F1" didn't help me, I am not sure what to search under in google,
can anyone help me?

I am using Win2K w/ Office 2K

Thanks,

Scott Brown

This requires a video card in the computer that's capable of true
multi-monitor support.
You can learn more about this here:

Then you need to sort out exactly what this Linksys card is grabbing and
sending off to the projector. It might be functioning as an additional
display card, or it might be grabbing and transmitting the video from the
existing display in the laptop. The manufacturer's docs might explain this
better. If you have to resort to calling tech support, don't give up
easily. The first-level people can be clueless, but they do have some good
ones there.

I'm trying to solve your very same question and this is
what I've learned. First, you need a dual graphic card.
Look at the Maxtor 650 or something similar. With the
dual card, your monitor is plugged into one port and the
projector into the other. Next, on PowerPoint, go to Help
and search 'use two monitors.' You'll end up using the
Presenter View feature on PP where the operator looks at
all the slides and presenter notes, and the audience only
sees the highlighted slide. That's what I know thus far.
Problems - There is a huge selection of video cards at all
price ranges, can't figure that out but I'm sure it's
important. And, Maxtor just emailed me that everything
above is correct, but "you won't be able to run live
motion video." What does that actually mean? Hope this
much helps. David Criss
