Projecting video in powerpoint

Have a presentation that includes a video clip that runs
on my Dell Inspion 8100 fine but when it comes to
projecting thru a Data projector see everything except
video clip which is blank.
What am I missing?
Running XP prof and PPt 2002

This can be an issue with the video card itself. (At least, I think I
recall that's what the reason is, anyway.) You may have to toggle
between the projector and laptop views so that the video shows on the
big screen but not on the laptop. Or set the projector image to primary
and the laptop to secondary.
