Progressive Search for "To..." field in email

I recently purchased Office 2003, and love it... When I started using the outlook orignally, in the "To..." field for typing the email address, there was a progressive search, so on typing each letter, the list showed the nearest match of the email address from the outlook contact files

This feature has somehow disappeared, and I would like to find out how to get it back

tools, options, email button, advanced button - suggest names option.
