Progress Bar not appearing

When saving large excel files, I expect the progress bar to appear indicating
the save process. I have since lost this bar - I assumed it was because of
plug-ins installed, so I uninstalled all of them. Once clean, Excel still
wasn't showing the progress bar. I do not have any macros enabled, no 3rd
party plug-ins... what else do I do to troubleshoot this?

Make sure your StatusBar is set to be showing:
View>Statusbar (should be checked)

It would be great if it were that simple. I have all status bar functions
visible and in use while saving. Any other ideas for me?
