programs quitting to desktop

During short periods of inactivity, such as when games are loading... the
program closes to the desktop. I have checked the settings in the display
control panel and set everything to "not closing" or "do not hibernate" but
the action continues

The game closes or it just drops down to yuor task bar and then yuo have to
open.
Called "Minimizing/Maximizing". See if game has options to run/startup in
"min or max" window.
