All of a sudden my system seems to be taking forever to open programs. Not
all but seems like file folders and the like take up to 5 or 10 seconds to
load after I click on them. This has never been the case up until about a
week ago.

System specs

Intel P4
1.8 Mhz
512 DDR
Nvidia fx5900 card

Just added a wireless mouse with the software, could that be it? Just
thinking I have to set something is the cache or somewhere to return to the
speed which files use to load. It only seems to effect program files. When
I am on the web or switching from page to page within a program it is normal

Any thoughts or advise would be appreciated.
