Programs have dissapeared by All Programs List

I have an ususual problem. Some of my programs that I installed on a PC no
longer appear on the all programs list. They actually do appear when I
navigate through My Computer to Program Files and then find the executable.
I then created shortcuts to these programs and then pinned them to the start
menu. All of the programs are Intuit programs (Quickbooks, Turbo Tax,
Quicken). They work fine but do not appear in All Programs. I think a tech
support person with Quickbooks had the user make some sort of change to one
of the folder names that may have messed this up. Is there a way to fix this
in Windows XP?

Thanks,

Perhaps they were installed to another profile. If you have
administrative access then you can check by looking at the Start Menu
folder under other user profiles.
