Programs fail to work after networking

My Microsoft Word program fails after about a minute of
use. The application also fails when I try to print,
change font, or use the task bars. My adobe photoshop is
also just failing RIGHT on start up. This came when I
tried changing network settings because another computer
in the house needed to be turned on for MS Word and
Photoshop to work. Now nothing works. If I try and print
to the printer through the networking, all of my computer
applications fail and close.

I've tried changing my network that I belong to, and
disconnecting the network on both computers, but it
doens't seem to work. Please help =(

Have you run a virus scanner?
When you say "fail", what does that mean exactly please?

What do you mean by this? (Aside from a pc needing to be running to use its
software ;o) )

Please give more info on the network settings for your pcs. IP address for
each one (static/dynamic), hardware on the network, internet connection
information.
When you change the network, you'll probably also need to refresh/reinstall
the installed printers as the port info may become stale.
