Programs don't run

As I understand it some programs must be re-installed
after going to Windows XP. If that doesn't work try right
clicking on the Quickbooks icon, select the compatibility
tab and tell it to run in Windows 2000 mode. I had to do
this with serveral of my programs. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I tried the changing the compatibility to 98/ME, but
that didn't help. Good idea though.

The program ran in xp up until the win update, so I don't think the problem
is with QB per se. The symptom is that it cannot 'find' IE6.0. Is there
some protection within newer win or ie version that mask IE6 somehow? Also,
QB automatically looks for its own updates and uses IE like views, and
apparently it won't start without it. I might look for a QB update on
their site, but they try to control that from within the program, and I
can't 'start' the prog.... it may be a catch 22. We'll see....
