At bootup, "My Documents" open to the desktop automatically every time I
start my computer. Can someone please tell me how to stop this from
happening? Please.....

JCW

Thanks Patti,

Do I just open it and answer yes? Can you tell me how to do the same thing
for System32 folder that opens on bootup? I know I need to straighten this
out but for now I would like to get the quick fix.
Thanx

Right, you double-click on the d/loaded file, then click on Yes in the
ensuing dialogue box.

Ramesh has pointed you in the right direction for the System32 folder.

Sir,
Patti addressed the "My Documents" folder opening at startup but I don't see
how the fix she recommended applies to the "System32" folder opening at
startup. I notice that you have supplied a link prefaced by "quote". The
"You have already been answered" perplexes me. I readily admit I am not an
expert or [MVP] but I don't see any reference to the "System32" issue in
Patti's response. Thanks for the link.

JCW,

The statement "You have already been answered" is not meant to hurt you, but to just let you know that the question has been taken care of. It does NOT mean, "why ask this for a second time?", as we are here to help you out. And my advice for you is to setup a newsreader [Outlook Express], so that you can track the thread easily.

You're welcome.
