I'm looking at learning Microsoft dotnet, do I need to know any type
of programming language before I start, or can I do everything with
dotnet?

Well, dotnet isn't a language. There are at least three languages to
choose from: VB.Net (not classic VB/VB 6), C# and F# (CSharp and FSharp).

So of the three languages to choose from, would you say VB.Net would
be the best one to learn? I heard VB/VB 6 is no longer supported?

It is more English like, but I would not say easier necessarily. Examine
your market and see which language is more popular. Then you can best
chooese the language most likely to get you a job.

Peace and Grace,

For DotNet Microsoft is giving a bunch of software for free to learning
