Programming OL98 address book in IMO mode

I'm trying to find out if it's possible to programatically add a new
contacts folder to the address book when using OL98 in IMO mode. This
new folder would be totally virtual and it's contents would be supplied
and maintained by code.

My thinking at the moment is to use an exchange client entension addin,
but I can't seem to find any information on controlling the address
book contents once I've got that far.

Solutions proposing C&W mode or not using OL98 are not what I'm after.
I've already written a MAPI Address Book Provider, but that seems to
need C&W mode and many of our systems begin to fail and become unstable
when switched into C&W mode.

Any help appreciated, I'm happy to supply more information or answer
questions.

IMO mode is crippled and won't work right with a custom address book
provider. The MAPI in IMO just isn't complete enough. Without a custom
AB provider you can't do what you want. C/W mode is the only way to go
to do what you want.
