Program won't run under normal user account

I use Qimage Pro for printing photos. It is a registered version and the
license allows for multiple (non concurrent) users on one PC. I want the
program to be available to all users on my PC, myself with an administrator
account and others with only normal user accounts. I installed the program
via my admin account and it works ok, however when the other users try to
run the program they get an error message saying that a log file can't be
written into the program folder, and when closing the program it can only be
exited via the file menu option for exit without saving settings.
I have tried:

removing and reinstalling the program into a folder c:\qimage (ie not under
program files);
checked all the file and folder attributes, non are set to read only, system
or hidden;
turned off zone alarm firewall and mcafee firewall.

I just cannot find out why the program cannot write to these log files. The
supplier support desk haven't been able to help either.

What I have noticed (via windows explorer) is that some of these log files
have an icon which looks like an empty window with a border, but with a red
circle with white cross in it in the bottom left corner. I don't know what
this means.

I'm using XP Home, which I don't believe has the more sophisticated file
access controls as XP Pro, but I've spent days experimenting with this and
still can't resolve the problem.

It's probably obvious, but can anyone point me at what is wrong, or what
additional info I can provide please.
Thanks
David

Hi David,

Restart in Safe mode by selecting it after hitting F8 at boot, then logon as
administrator. You then need to locate the program folder and right click
it, check properties. Here you should find a tab for security (this will not
show in normal mode in a WinXP Home system). What you need to do is enable
read and write permissions for "everyone". More on this can be found here:
