Program Windows are Freezing

No matter what program I am in Windows, Explorer, Excel the windows go
inactive while I am typing. The only way to reactivate them is to mouse
click in the window. Why is this happening and how do I stop it!!!!

Some other window is stealing focus, I imagine.. Please try this:
