Jeff

I have a program that opens off screen. I can make it
visible by maximixing it but can't "restore down" to a
smaller window without it disappearing off screen again.

Somehow the open location coordinates were set while I
had a different multi-monitor configuration. Now I can't
get it to open on an active screen.

How does Windows store locations to open program windows?

To restore the program window try this.

- Close or minimize all running programs (that have a button on the
taskbar)
- Open the "program that opens off screen"
- Right-click the taskbar and choose "Cascade Windows"
- Click the Close X to exit the program
- Open the program and see if the window is in the same position as it
was when you last closed it

Windows stores each folder's view settings and customizations in the
registry. For more information see the following Microsoft Knowledge

Hi Jeff,

Hold down Alt + Space Bar, and then M. Use the cursor arrow key to bring
the program windows into view. Once done, hit enter.
