The program accesses the web through my dial-up
connection when it decides to, then leaves the line to
aol open. So our home phone line is busy until someone
notices that aol is open on the computer, or tries to
dial out. It's tied up our line for a couple of hours
several times. Does anyone else have this problem? Can
it be fixed?

If you have a dial-up connection, then perhaps you ought to disable the
scheduled definitions updates, and do the updates manually when it is
convenient.

O.K. guys, I read this first and did as advised.
Manually made a dialup connection, then selected "check
for update" in the File dropdown menu. Made sure
ZoneAlarm was checked to allow MS AntiSpyWare access and
the update window says can't get a connection.

Ignore the previous post. The next time I tried it it
worked.

Thanks, all. I went in and disabled the automatic
updates. HOpefully, this will solve the problem.
