Program trying to access Contacts folder??!!

Hello,

Everytime I receive a new email and try to open it I get a
message box telling me that a program is trying to access
the Contacts folder and asks if I would like to allow it.
I have not seen this message on any of the other PC's in
my organization and this one only started giving it to me
about 2-3 weeks ago.

To try and resolve this problem I have run 3 scans to
check for viruses with 2 different scanners and have not
found anything. I just recently reformatted and
reinstalled the PC to try and "fix" it but I am still
getting the message.

For reference the PC is a Dell with a 2.4GHz Pentium 4, 1
GB RAM, running Windows 2000 Pro (SP4) and Office XP Pro.
I have installed all the current patches for both Windows
and Office up to May 21st, 2004.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same difficulty with Outlook 2002. I am
running Windows XP and Office Small Business on a Dell
Latitude D600 (1400MHz and 512 MB of Ram. I am up to date
on all Windows and Office upgrades.

If anyone has a recommendation please let me know.

Either of you care to state your Outlook version and SP status? Sounds like
normal behavior to me for SP3:
You may be able to get around the problem by either disabling Word as
your e-mail editor or updating some of your add-ins, especially virus
scanners. See the following article for more information:

As I mentioned in my original post I have Office XP Pro
and I am updated to the most current patches and SP3 is
installed.

Looks like it may be solved. I have not been able to get
that pop up box after disabling Word as the editor.
Hopefully that is the fix. Thanks for the tips.
