Hi there;

I burned a ton of stuff onto a CD, and now it won't allow me to resave
it - it says "no room on CD". When I try to delete something to make
room it says "read only cannot delete".

Any software to help?

Thanks. You guys are wonderful.

hi ,

i guess you stand in front of basics about read-and-write digital media
:-)

if you closed the disc you only can reformat it and burn it again .

No, you cannot delete files from a cd-r, however if you had a cd-rw you would be
able to delete files off it.

All files on a CDR are *always* read only. You can't delete from one
either, only from CD-RW and CD-RW discs are less than reliable.
Any software to help?

Windows

1. Copy CD to a folder on the HDD

2. Use Explorer and browse to folder. Open it.

3. Click in the right pane to activate it

4. Press Ctrl + A to select all

5. Right click one of the highlighted files

6. Select "Properties"

7. Untick "Read only"

8. Add whatever files you want

9. Burn new data CD

10. Throw original CD away

It won't allow me to "move" or copy them either, why?
