Program to monitor changes ?

OS: Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
Version: 5.0.2195 Service Pack 3 Build 2195

I have 6 folders containing hundreds
of text,word,access,excel and image files.
These are backed up on Zip disks
once a month.
As they are often modified, added to
and some deleted - each time I have
to do a complete backup.

Is there a program which will monitor
the changes in each of the folders
and tell me the changes made ?

It looks like crippleware and registerware to me.
