Hello people.

I have some music videos here, and I want to take some scenes from them to be
used as wallpaper.

Q: Does someone here knows any program to convert a frame in a .MPG video file
to a .JPG image file?

Sure, IrfanView do it :)

if your using windows xp just press printscreen(on the keyboard) while watching
the clip, then open paint and click'edit" then click "paste" ,this will not work
on win9x,all you will get is a black screen.

Hi.
I have done the exact same thing using Video2Photo
http://www.pixelchain.com/
Registration is free, and is done simply by emailing the author and
letting him know what you think of the program.

I am using Windows 98 SE. :/

VirtualDubMod will save a still as a .png, .bmp, or .tga
format...newer versions may save as .jpg ?
But VirtualDub is useful for sooo much more (ie, joining vid files,
re-rendering vids w/ filters, frame serving to programs like TMPGEnc,
demux avi files and on and on.......<Free>

Sure, IrfanView do it :)

In IrfanView, though, you must know the frame number(s) you want to
capture. I use BSPlayer as my video player, and all it takes is pressing
"P" to capture a JPG.
