I have accounts for my wife and I along with my 3 kids on
one computer. My kids loaded Kazaa & Im on the
computer. When I log on to my account Kazaa launches at
start-up as does one of my kid's IM accounts.

How do I remove IM and Kazaa from my account while
keeping it on my kids' accounts?

Hi,

Move the startup shortcuts. They are currently in this folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Move them to the kid's accounts:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Try to run an MSCONFIG in the Run menu. Once there click on the Startup Tab. Uncheck all the entries you don't want to launch at the startup and then restart the computer, making sure after you reboot you put a checkmark in the grey window informing you of changes made to your startup routine. Also don't forget to make sure you don't have wrong entries in your STARTUP folder (Start -->Programs-->StartUp, otherwise it will launch it again the next time you restart. In theory, neither you nor your kids need to launch Kazaa at the startup. Free version of Kazaa is ridden with "scumware" and adware programs that ruin your system's performance. Use cleaning utilities such as a free Ad-Aware or others to rid your system of the "bad guys". You'll be amazed at what you'll find... Good Luck.
