program seems to hangup when sending larger attachments

When I send something with an attachment, say 1.2meg, the program bogs down
and ends up timing out. Sometimes I find that the mail went through even
though it is still in my outbox and does not show up in my sent file.....any
ideas?????????????

Many internet providers set a limit on the total size of each message,
including
any attachments. You might ask yours what this limit is, if any.
 
Make sure your antivirus is not configured to scan emails.
McAfee and Norton antivirus programs may have to be uninstalled.

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled.
