Program quits when using effects

Hi,

When I try to add an effect to a movie recorded from a
camera the program crashes. I've tried using the sample
movie but the same thing happens with that.

me too, does it just dissapear, no error message or

anything, when u drag an effect between two clips?
 
Hi

Ihad this problem, it was because I hadthe Nimo Codec pack installed. If
you un-install this codec pack it usually sorts the problem out.
